Il design del JA200 si basa su quello del JA80 con il quale condivide un suono simile pur essendo in grado di lavorare con i carichi più difficili. Può produrre fino a 160 W per canale in pura Classe A e fino a 200 W con la KT150 (optonale)pur rimanendo estremamente dinamico. Lo stadio di uscita del JA200 funziona con 10 tubi di alimentazione per blocco. Per ragioni di dissipazione del calore, l'alimentazione di ciascun blocco viene deportata in un altro frame. Questo lo rende un dispositivo composto da quattro blocchi: due per gli alimentatori e due per l'amplificazione. Costruzione di ciascun finale mono in 2 chassis con alimentazione separata.
